Principal Architect Larry Brisley has worked in architecture and construction since 1976. During this time he has worked with prominent architectural firms handling services ranging from renovations to complete communities. Mr. Brisley received his degree from SCI-ARC (Southern California Institute of Architecture), and has received many awards and honors, as well as appointment to several community design review boards such as Club Estates in Thousand Oaks. Mr. Brisley has also founded "The Architectural Committee" website for design consulting.
Design Consultant Viktor Von Mertens has worked with Larry Brisley and NEXTects since 1992. Mr.Von Mertens experience as a Design Consultant for the past 15 years has provided him with vast knowledge and a hands-on education in the field of architectural design. Using CADD computer plan preparation and modeling, Mr. Von Mertens takes projects from design through construction, with projects varying form remodels to custom estates and office buildings to his credit.
Draftsperson Jose Tamayo began his design profession with NEXTects in 2002, and offers skills in CAD drafting and plan preparation using both AutoCad 2000 and Allplan. Mr. Tamayo has been honored on both the "President’s List" and "Director’s List" at Phoenix’s High-Tech Institute. His responsibilities at NEXTects extend beyond design and computers to include day-to-day office organization and management.
Design Consultant Gary Georges has worked as a Project Manager for both commercial and residential projects in the Architecture and Construction field since 1991. Mr. Georges is a certified instructor of Allplan CAD software using BIM (Building Information Model), a 3D solid modeling-based design approach, which allows for a more realistic view of the building while still in the design phase. Mr. Georges has used his specialized computer technology skills to serve as a prestigious team member in the 1999 CAD Designers Shootout.
Office Manager Sue Hrychyk has worked with NEXTects since 2001. Ms. Hrychyk provides organization and management to our clients, consultants, and contractors on a daily basis with inquiries, phone calls, preparing proposals and agreements, scheduling appointments, and coordination with the governing agencies. Ms. Hrychyk is a Political Science graduate of Cal State Northridge and has worked for 15 years in customer service and technical sales.
Administrator Amy Jensen has worked with Studio X Architects and NEXTects since 1996. Ms. Jensen supervises accounting, bookkeeping, financial administration, fee proposals, and agreements. Prior to working for Studio X, Ms. Jensen was a Sales Account Manager for major retail and grocery firms, including 8 years with Ralston Purina. Ms. Jensen graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cal State Dominguez Hills in 1996, majoring in Liberal Arts and Economics.
Administrator Joby Gibson has provided part-time administrative work to Larry Brisley for over 15 years. She manages the Architectural Committee for various communities including Club Estates and High Country in Thousand Oaks, and Renaissance and Sorrento in Porter Ranch. Ms. Gibson assists property owners in processing plans and applications, writing guidelines, and helping with the Committee and Board’s responsibilities.
